Green Gables

So another highlight of the trip to Nova Scotia was going to Prince Edward Island. And if you are on PEI, you must visit Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite books (and movies) when I was growing up. Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote Anne of Green Gables and based many of the places in the book on actual places that she knew, including her grandparents' cousins' farm. The farm was acquired by the province and was done up to look like Green Gables in the book. Many of the areas close to the home inspired parts of the book, like the Haunted Woods and Lover's Lane. The property was beautiful! It was fun to go and remember Anne!
