Did you know....

that baby flamingos are actually born gray? They get the pink color later in life. The pink color is actually due to what they eat. They eat lots of foods high in beta-carotine. Beta-carotine is found in carrots. Flamingos do not eat carrots, but humans eat carrots. If a human eats a lot of carrots, however, she will not turn pink. She might actually turn yellow-ish, though.
