So I mentioned that we stayed in the Bed and Breakfast in Lochinver. Well, that was a really beautiful part of the country. One evening we drove out along the coast up to a lighthouse to see the scenery and to look for marine mammals (whales, seals, otters, etc.). I will confess myself bitterly disappointed that we did not see any marine mammals. (Next time I plan a trip to Scotland I will leave plenty of time for whale watching and boat trips to seal islands.) But the area was beautiful! It was like being on top of the world. At the penninsula where the lighthouse is, the sky looks so big!
